We’re back for our third annual Mobula Ray Aggregation & Shark Week in Baja California Sur—an awe-inspiring experience in one of the richest marine ecosystems on Earth!

Why This Season?

Spring and early summer bring hundreds of thousands of mobula rays to Baja’s coastline, forming some of the largest aggregations on the planet. This natural phenomenon attracts dolphins, sea lions, and even apex predators like orcas and sharks, offering an unmatched opportunity to witness raw marine interactions up close. For us, mobula season in the Baja is the most wonderful time of the year for so many reasons. It’s one of the trips we most look forward to every year.

Trip Highlights:

Freedive with thousands of mobula rays as they form massive fevers in the Sea of Cortez, creating a spectacle of synchronized movement and high-energy breaches.
Encounter spiny-tailed rays, dolphins, sea lions, and maybe even orcas, whale sharks, and brydes whales, drawn to these abundant waters by the seasonal explosion of life.
Stay at a stunning new 5-bedroom beach house, complete with a jacuzzi, pool, and more.
Indulge in gourmet cuisine, with catered breakfasts and dinners, plus plenty of fresh, local flavours to keep you fuelled for adventure. And we really mean gourmet dinners, not just run of the mill Mexican in Baja— we’re talking top tier local chefs with high quality ingredients.
5 days of free-diving excursions, with 6-7 hours of on-water time per day to maximize wildlife encounters.
1 full day of SCUBA diving in Cabo Pulmo National Park, a UNESCO-listed marine reserve home to huge schools of fish, bull sharks, and vibrant coral reefs (for certified divers only, non-cert divers may choose to do a discovery dive instead).
Expert guides and private boats, ensuring an intimate, immersive experience with the ocean’s top predators and pelagic life.

Includes

5 full, guided free-diving days on water in search of mobulas, dolphins, orcas, etc.
1 Scuba day (3 tanks) at Cabo Pulmo (must be a certified diver, for non-cert divers, a optional included DSD course is available for the day)
7-nights at a new luxury La Ventana beach house (shared rooms) with a pool and jacuzzi (some singles available for an extra fee, first come first served).
6 dinners (mix of private chef and restaurant tasting menus)
